/docs not created

Jan 19, 2011 at 11:45 AM

Hi,

I exactly followed all the steps mentioned in the site but it throws an http:404 error when try to navigate to /docs.

This might be because in the web.config the text in BOLD throws a warning. How do I prevent this warning:

<endpointBehaviors>
     <behavior name="restBehaviour">
  <webHttp/>
  <autodocsBehaviorExtension />
     </behavior>
    </endpointBehaviors>

The behavoir extension is mentioned exactly how it was given in the website:

<extensions>
      <behaviorExtensions>
        <add name="autodocsBehaviorExtension" type="Autodocs.ServiceModel.Web.AutodocsBehaviorExtension, Autodocs.ServiceModel.Web, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=ad2dc2e36787b789" />
      </behaviorExtensions>
    </extensions>

Pls help me out in resolving this issue.

Thanks in advance

I know that this is an old thread but I needed the answer now and there was none to this one. For the people who needs the answer, here's a partial one: the warning on that configuration is not the cause of the issue. See this and search for "invalid element" http://blogs.msdn.com/b/carlosfigueira/archive/2011/06/28/wcf-extensibility-behavior-configuration-extensions.aspx.

Possible solution: You can check if you put the proper reference of the downloaded autodocs dll in your webservice project.
